As a senior UI designer, I was thrilled to take on a new challenge with a Wealth management and investment adviser platform. My task was to create a design system to centralize their platform for mobile and desktop users. The project's initial scope included auditing the existing designs, which were spread across multiple Adobe XD projects. My job was to transform and redesign these designs in Figma, using the new design system I would create.
The design system was built around centralization, with a focus on delivering a consistent, cohesive experience across all devices. This required developing global components usable throughout the design system, along with light and dark modes to accommodate users' preferences. I also needed to ensure the system worked seamlessly on mobile and web platforms.

Based on the requirements, a modified version of Material UI 5 best fits the platform's needs. I worked closely with their front-end developers to ensure the design system was implemented seamlessly, and we decided to incorporate Storybook to streamline and improve the design-to-dev workflow.
One of the project's most significant challenges was creating a seamless experience between the platform's "planner" and "client/user" sides. The planners had access to a range of management tools to communicate with clients, suggest investment and savings strategies, and more. On the other hand, users/clients had access to relevant tools to select their investment plans, invite friends and family, connect with an advisor, and more.
I created custom components and workflows tailored to each group's specific needs while maintaining a cohesive, intuitive user experience. The result was a design system that worked seamlessly across the entire platform, with a unified visual language and consistent user experience. The planners managed their clients more efficiently, while clients had access to a wide range of tools and features that made investing and saving for the future more accessible than ever.
